My walks are endless sources of WOWs for me. I always find something that makes me stop and notice.
I enjoyed some late bloomers. The weather went from summer to near-winter without a break. I was on my way home from a walk when I noticed a beautiful pink flower. After taking the Beatrix Potter art class at my local art museum, I stopped to take in the colors and observe the subtle shading and mix of tones.

I trusted the path. On another walk, I found a path I hadn’t taken before. I came to a bridge and wasn’t sure where it would take me. I found a beautiful creek with a small waterfall on the other side.

I enjoyed a hometown festival. My city has a very active Main Street, and last weekend was PumpkinFest. I walked downtown and enjoyed taking in the sights, sounds, and scents. Sometimes, I feel like I live in a Hallmark movie. Lucky me!

I found another playing card. Two weeks ago, on a walk, I found a single playing card lying on the road. It was a Jack of Clubs. When I got home, I looked up the card’s meaning and learned it can be an omen that good things and new opportunities are on the way. This week, I found a second one—the Eight of Spades—and it looks like it’s from the same deck. I looked up its meaning and discovered that this card represents having the energy of healing, grace, and power. I’m so curious about these single cards I’m finding, but they feel like messages for me to discover.

I found some great shoes. OK, so this WOW! wasn’t on a walk. Well, it was on a walk through a local thrift store. I love going to thrifting because it’s a reliable source of WOWs, too. I stopped into a local charity-run store and found a pair of brand new Rothy’s in my size. This pair of shoes retails for $169, and I snagged them for $7.
What were your WOWs this week?

Your articles are always so nice to read. That path did look like a Beatrix Potter image — did you see the lovely movie Miss Potter? And I LOVE the single playing cards!! Wow indeed.
